The Orange County Farmers Museum is a non-profit all-volunteer organization dedicated to the historical preservation of farming, farm families, and farm equipment. We meet on the 3rd Thursday of each month at 7 pm.
The Farmers Museum was started with one barn, a small workshop, a small visitors center, and a chicken coop. We now have an additional memorial barn, a working blacksmith shop, an enlarged workshop, a working sawmill, a run-in shed, and an education center with heated restroom facilities.
Weekend activities include exhibits of farm machinery, museum tours, blacksmith demonstrations, sawmill demonstrations, exhibits of life on the farm, hayrides, and many special events.
Your membership or tax-deductible donation provides support for our building program and for equipment maintenance, restoration, and museum operations.
The museum relies entirely on volunteer labor, member donations, and events held on our grounds. Gifts of equipment and memorabilia are greatly appreciated.
Membership Benefits include:
- Free Admission to all Farmers Museum events (3rd party promoter events are not included)
- Notice of Educational and Holiday Events
- Opportunity to join committees to make a difference in Museum Operations
- Business listings on our website (upon request)
- Meet new people and learn new things
